What does it mean when my products are "missing data"?

When you login to Flipwise, you will see tasks telling you that some of your active or sold products are missing data. For active products, there are three pieces of data that Flipwise checks for when considering whether it is missing data or not:

1) Purchase price (also referred to as Cost)

2) Purchase location (where you bought the item from)

3) Storage location (where the item is physically stored in inventory)

All three must be filled out in order for the product to be considered not missing data.

Tip: If you do not use storage location for inventory, you can disable it, and it will no longer be considered missing data if a product does not have a storage location defined. You can learn how to disable the storage location here.

Additionally, for sold products, shipping cost is considered missing data if it has not been defined. Once a sold product is shipped, it loses its association with a storage location. This is because once it has shipped, it is presumably no longer stored in its storage location.
