How does Flipwise charge members outside the US?
Our prices are listed in US Dollars (USD). If you are based outside the US, when you are billed for Flipwise, your bank or payment provider will convert the amount to your local currency.
What to expect when you pay
Currency conversion: Your bank or payment provider will convert the USD amount to your local currency (e.g., GBP for the UK, CAD for Canada, AUD for Australia). The exchange rate used is determined by your bank.
Foreign transaction fees: Your bank might charge a small foreign transaction and currency conversion fee for processing a payment in a foreign currency. This fee is usually between 1% and 3% of the transaction amount.
Sales tax: Depending on your location, sales tax may apply to your purchase. Examples of such taxes include VAT in the UK, GST in Canada, and GST in Australia.
Total cost: The total amount you see on your bank statement may be slightly higher due to these fees and any applicable taxes.
