How do I delete a product from my inventory?
By default, Flipwise retains all products in your inventory forever. If there are products in your inventory you are looking to delete, a delete button can be found on the product detail page under the action menu shown below:
Not all products are deletable, however. In order to delete a product, it must not have an active eBay listing or have sales data associated with it:
- If you try to delete a product with an active listing on eBay, Flipwise will ask you to first end the listing before deleting the product from your inventory.
- If you try to delete a product with an order associated with it (meaning it has sold), Flipwise will not allow the deletion. It is important to retain any product in your inventory that has sales data associated with it so that data can be captured in your totals.
When you delete a product from your inventory, it doesn’t get deleted right away, but instead goes to a “deleted” view where it will stay for 30 days until it is automatically purged forever. If you have deleted an item in error, you can undo the deletion any time during the 30 day retention window.
If you delete a product with a Ledger entry associated with it, the Ledger entry will remain and must be deleted separately if desired.
How do I delete multiple items at once?
To bulk delete, first select multiple items at once. When you hover over a thumbnail picture while looking at your list of items, the image will turn into a grey checkmark. Click that checkmark and it will turn blue to indicate that the item is selected. Or, if you are on mobile, simply touch the thumbnail image to select it. Click on other checkmarks to select all items you would like to delete:

You can also use the checkbox next to the Product column header to either select everything on the current page, or deselect everything already selected. Note: Currently you can only select up to a single full page at a time. Selections will not carry over from page to page.
Once you have all of the items selected that you would like to delete, a new "Edit" button will appear in the top right corner, next to the Filter button. Clicking this button will give you several options:

Note: The "Delete" option will only appear if the items you have selected are possible candidates for deletion. You will not see the option if you are looking at Active or Sold items.
Select "Delete" and a new dialog box will appear making sure you would like to delete the selected items. Select "Delete" again, and you will see a progress bar as the items are reviewed and deleted, and then a message will indicate when they have been completed, along with any possible errors. Click OK.
