How to import Unlisted inventory
Flipwise allows you to add Unlisted inventory that has not been listed on eBay yet so you can track purchases and storage before items go live. You can either add items one-by-one directly in Flipwise, or import a CSV file. This option is for users who may have a large death pile and do not want to enter unlisted inventory manually and would prefer to upload it in bulk. This is a manual import done by our team.
Important: This feature is not for updating current unlisted items; it is for adding new unlisted items only. If we upload a CSV into Unlisted, it will create a new unlisted entry for every row in the file.
Step 1: Download the CSV template
You can either make a copy of this Google Sheets template we created, or you can create your own template.
If you use our Google Sheets template, open the link above, hit "File" and then "Make a copy" — this will allow you to edit the file directly. Do not rename the columns.
Alternatively, you can create your own template; just make sure you use the correct column names.
The columns are:
- title
- quantity
- purchase_price
- purchase_date
- purchase_location
- storage_location
- notes
Step 2: Fill out the file
Enter one row per item.
purchase_price should be the total amount for all units.
Use a consistent date format (MM/DD/YYYY) for purchase_date. If your store uses DD/MM/YYYY, use that format instead.
Step 3: Email your file
Send the completed CSV to support@flipwise.app.
Include the email address on your Flipwise account and mention that this is an unlisted inventory import request.
What happens next
We will import your file and reach out if anything needs clarification. Most imports are done within one business day.
